Followup: The Panasonic HMC150

Hello again everyone! It’s been a little while since my last post. My brand new Panasonic HMC150 has come in and I’ve had a chance for about a month to use it in various environments and I must say I’m more than impressed with the camera. The decision to buy this camera was definitely a good call. Shooting onto SD cards instead of tapes is just about the most liberating thing I can think of after nearly eight years of shooting on DV tapes. More of my thoughts about the camera (with test footaage!) is after the jump.

This is Good Commitment!

So we didn’t advance in the Sketchies. We’re not going to let that bring us down. Bring on the Hubris! In other news, denial is the first stage of grief.

Disborderlies: YouTube Sketchies Entry

Over at GoodCommitment.tv we worked really hard all weekend and put together what has to be one of the best, most ambitious videos we’ve ever done. Disborderlies turned out great and we have submitted it as our entry into the YouTube Sketchies contest. Check out the video and let us know what you think!

The Button Factory

I have another great Good Commitment video to show everyone. We shot this one this past weekend; I was the Director of Photography yet again for this quick sketch about a button factory worker who weasels his way past an overbearing manager and even manages to get a raise in the process! All around it’s another hilarious sketch from Kary and James inspired by a bit of improv from the Lab Rats comedy troupe at Mississippi State University.

As Seen on TV

Two commercials that Myself and the Good Commitment team produced for the Magnolia Film Festival are now airing in the Golden Triangle area! Below are the two spots that were chosen to air. “Be Independent,” which is a quick tale of a character who chooses the film festival over an attractive female caller at the movie theater, and the second, “The Independent Film Fairy” represents our attempt at throwing it all to the wind and trying to be as silly as possible. Both spots turned out very good and it’s great to see them reaching a huge audience!
